The Blizzard of 2008

Well Wednesday we woke up to this. Actually it was about 6 inches lower than this pic which was taken about 1pm. You can see Jakes bike peeking out on the left and the kids car in the middle with about a foot of snow on it. It was a nightmare trying to get Jake to and from school since the city doesn't consider our little side street important enough to plow or the street in front of Jakes school either. Needless to say we haven't been anywhere else but school since then. We were lucky though that our furnace which died monday night was fixed tuesday or I would have woken up to Kidcicles that day.

Well fine...if everyone else is going to jump off a bridge...

Well we're doing it...starting a blog. All of our family is doing it so.... We're not doing it from peer pressure though....that would be wrong.

Ok, so here's the deal. There is me (Katie) my husband Adam, Jacob (5), Emily (4), and Jay (2). Our friend Jenna sometimes lives with us and always is there to help. We're a very quiet family except for Adam, Jacob, Emily, and Jay who are a little loud. Two levels of loud actually... loud and DAMN LOUD. We have two dogs, one an adorable boxer pupper named Max who is very well behaved for a 3mo old and Pepsi, a beagle who is not well behaved on any level but does keep our home safe from intruders, solicitors, Jehova's Witnesses,..... neighbors.....friends....and sometimes family. But we love him anyway. We also have 2 guinea pigs, Soushi and Lynny, who love veggies and are both virgos. Jacob is responsible for feeding the dogs each morning and Emily takes care of the Guinea Pigs. They're actually both quite good at it and the pets are still alive after almost 6 months so that is a good sign.
